This 1893 home is arguably one of the most beautiful residences in the area. Rich with original architectural details, and historical character, the kitchen and powder room not only needed an update, but a thoughtful return to the striking bones that make this home so exceptional.
While much of the home's historical character had been carefully preserved, the kitchen and powder room had undergone previous renovations that didn't reflect the craftsmanship, or intricate detailing found throughout the rest of the house. The goal was to create spaces that felt authentic to the home's heritage, while embracing the whimsy, beauty, and functionality of modern living.
Inspired by timeless English design, and the home's Victorian architecture, the renovation restored a sense of history through thoughtful detailing, layered materials, and carefully crafted millwork. The kitchen and powder room were completely reimagined, embracing rich colour, timeless pattern, and natural materials to create spaces full of warmth, character, and enduring beauty.
